Client News: Norwich film company moves forward with re-brand

in News

Norwich filmmaker, Tom Martin, is celebrating his most successful year in business just five years after graduating, with a re-launch of his brand and website this December.

It comes at the end of a year in which Tom has captured the Prime Minister on camera, had his work screened at the House of Commons and secured a £9,000 contract to film in Malta.

Forward is the new name for Fast Forward Media, a video production agency which started life in 2010 and has gone on to produce cinematic quality videos for commercial brands worldwide. The new brand is being rolled out across the company’s website, social media and marketing this December.

A graduate from the UEA’s world-respected Film and TV school, filmmaker Tom Martin, launched his business straight out of University.  Quickly earning a reputation as one of the region’s most talented visual storytellers, he has produced work for brands including UEA and Broom Boats.

The re-brand comes at the end of his most successful year, with turnover up 35% on 2014.

The past 12 months have also seen Tom clock up more than 8,000 miles, flying to Malta and Portugal, shooting in challenging locations and in sweltering heat of 35 degrees.

With his own big ambitions for the future, Tom realises he operates in a sector which is booming, but fiercely competitive.

Keen to future-proof his equipment in a fast-paced industry, he has just invested £14,000 in the latest 4K camera technology. Has taken virtual office space at Epic Studios, Norwich, and plans to recruit. A self-confessed perfectionist, Tom stresses he will always retain creative control and direction over his company’s productions.

He says; “Five years on from starting up, my work has taken me worldwide and I’ve filmed with some incredible brands, in stunning locations.  This year, I’ve created my best ever work and felt it was time to take stock, create a new grown-up identity and move the agency forward in a new, professional direction.

He adds; “The rise of video marketing continues. And I’m focused on making sure Forward stays true to its values and storytelling style – delivering strong narratives through cinematic quality content. Anyone can point and shoot, but our skill is in crafting an interesting, captivating story which anyone will want to watch.  I believe that sets my business apart, and has led to another record year.”
