Client News: Halloween Spooktacular at Pensthorpe Natural Park

in News

Pensthorpe Natural Park is all set to celebrate the spooky season by hosting a number of Halloween inspired nature activities to show children how nature can be fun.

Halloween at PNP

At no additional cost to the entrance fee, families can enjoy the Trick or Tweet trail around the reserve, where children will discover the grim and gruesome side of nature and learn some fang-tastic facts.

Young nature lovers will also have the opportunity to complete puzzles, make witches brew and create a Halloween Creepy-Crawly. There is also a prize for the most freaky- fancy dress costume.

For three nights only, the Hootz Big Bugz Adventure* sees a naughty scare-crow cast a curse over Pensthorpe. And it will be down to the children to find Hootz – the only creature that can reverse the curse!

The spooky night walk, aimed for children, features a beastly journey in the dark with lighting, sounds and smells all relating back to the gory side of nature.

Pensthorpe’s Head Warden, Keith Baker, says: “The Halloween activities are an entertaining way for families to discover more about nature but in an enjoyable and interactive way. It allows us to work with the families to enthuse them and make them aware of the natural world. It is part of the Parks determination to engage with families and get them outdoors in a fun, light hearted way.”
