Finishing touches are being made to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show gardens this week where a Norfolk company hopes one of its three clients will win best in show this year.
British Wild Flower Plants, the largest grower of native plants in the UK, is growing three gardens for this year’s Chelsea Flower Show including The Daily Telegraph which has won best in show for the last three years.
£22,000 of the Norfolk firm’s wild flowers will be used in The Daily Telegraph garden, The Brontës’ Yorkshire Garden and DMZ Forbidden Garden.
Beginning 22nd May, The Chelsea Flower Show is the world’s most prestigious flower show with 550 different exhibitors.
The Daily Telegraph’s garden evokes the beauty and romance of the wild areas of the British countryside, with all of its wildflowers provided by British Wild Flower Plants.
Linda Laxton, owner of British Wild Flower Plants says:
“We have been involved with The Chelsea Flower Show for the past 20 years and it is definitely something we feel very passionate about. We’ve been nurturing these plants since September so we look forward to seeing the finished gardens. Hopefully this puts Norfolk on the map for wildflowers.”
